Rebuilding the lab site

The site is static HTML built with Astro. There is no framework running in the browser: the only script fades sections in, keeps the “last shipped” line current and filters the ship log.

What keeps it fast

Two self-hosted fonts, preloaded. Images resized to WebP at build time and lazy-loaded below the first screen. Styles inlined into each page, so the first screen needs one request.

What keeps it findable

Every page has its own title, description and canonical address, a sitemap and an RSS feed, and the products are described with structured data.
